Man Steals Hundreds Of Dollars From Disabled Girl Scout

By Casey Harper

In a horrific attack on all that is good in humanity, girl scouts fell prey to multiple thieves this weekend who passed up the thin mints for the little girls’ cash.

First, a man stole hundreds of dollars from a disabled girl scout outside a Kmart in Lansing, MI, MLive reports. A 49-year-old Lansing woman and her daughter were selling Girl Scout Cookies Sunday afternoon when the thief struck.

The mother briefly left her daughter alone to go to her car but on the way saw a man go behind the table and snatch a box full of money from the day’s sales from the helpless Girl Scout. The perpetrator, a black man in his twenties, ran away and jumped in a Dodge Dakota pickup truck.

Police are still searching for the man.

Sadly, this is not the weekend’s only case of targeting Girl Scout’s and their famous treats.

Police are also searching for a New Hampshire man who, with an accomplice, orchestrated a heist from Girl Scouts who had set up a table to sell cookies outside a Rochester Walgreens, The Smoking Gun reports.

The man, wearing a New England Patriots jacket, ran up and snatched the money box before fleeing in a Toyota Camry with another occupant. The pair later ditched the vehicle in a driveway.

The man, who police believe is 20-year-old Pierre Thibault, is still on the loose. His alleged accomplice, 19-year-old Kayla Lonergan, was arrested and charged with two misdemeanors.
