Man Arrested After Tossing $1,000 To Mall Shoppers (VIDEO)

BLOOMINGTON, MN – Holiday shoppers in Bloomington were treated to a shower of dollar bills when Serge Vorobyov threw $1,000 over a railing at the Mall of America. Police weren’t too pleased and arrested him, charging the man with disorderly conduct for his attempt to spread holiday cheer.

Serge Vorobyov, known on Youtube as “Serge the Car Hauler” threw the bills over the railing as a choir performed “Let it Snow,” four stories below him. He says he did it because he’s had a rough year and wanted to help people on Black Friday.

“I went through a horrible divorce, and she even took the cat and won’t tell me where it is. I thought I would just spread some holiday cheer … pay it forward,” he said.

A spokesperson for the Mall of America said his antics might have caused a major disturbance and they worried someone could have been hurt. Serge argued,“I think all the people down there enjoyed it.”
