Elon Musk is building electric cars that will run, even in the event of a zombie apocalypse.

Tesla Motors’ CEO Musk appeared in an interview on 60 minutes that catalogued the incredible history of a man who has created a battery-powered vehicle that goes 0-60 in just 4 seconds. The car is smoke free, containing 7,000 battery cells, no engine and no transmission. It’s run by a computer connected to the Internet and is manufactured here in the United States.

Musk is optimistic that his car will not only be totally free to recharge after driving around 230 miles, but that the charges will come from solar power cells, so even in the event of a zombie apocalypse, you’ll still be able to get power for your vehicle.
