Deputies were called to a Food Lion grocery store in South Carolina Monday morning, where an 80-year-old woman told police that a man walked up behind her, pushed her, and then immediately punched her for no apparent reason.

The 35-year-old Roebuck man, was identified by store employees as Curtis Brandon Styles, who often frequented the grocery store.

The victim told deputies that she was standing near the checkout looking at drinks when a man she didn’t know walked up to her and pushed her. Before she had time to realize what was happening, she said that the man punched her in the back, knocking her to the ground.

A deputy went to Styles’ home on Pineridge Street, located behind the grocery store, where the deputy discovered him standing in the front yard, wearing the same clothes he was wearing in the surveillance video. The deputy said that Styles denied everything, to which the deputy responded by showing him the video.
