WATCH: Jimmy Kimmel Asks “Who is Gary Johnson?”

On Thursday night’s edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live! the host sent his reporters to ask passers-by if they knew who Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson is. Few were able to answer in the affirmative, showing the major hurdles Johnson must overcome as a third-party candidate. Moreover, this segment shows in some ways the success of the campaign already, as this is likely one of the first times in which a Libertarian has been mentioned on a late-night talk show. Can Johnson use negative attention from “gotcha” questions to bring more exposure to libertarian principles and ideas?
