North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un responded to President Donald Trump’s warning at the United Nations with a threat of his own.

Trump warned Tuesday that if North Korea forces the U.S. to defend itself or its allies against an attack, the U.S. will lay waste to the rogue regime. “The United States is a nation of great strength and patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea,” Trump said before the United Nations General Assembly.

A diplomat called Trump a “barking” dog with crazy aspirations.

In an extremely rare move, Kim Jong Un personally responded Friday.

“I’d like to advise Trump to exercise prudence in selecting words and be considerate to whom he speaks to when making a speech in front of the world,” Kim said, according to the Korean Central News Agency.

“His remarks … convinced me, rather than frightening or stopping me, that the path I chose is correct and that it is the one I have to follow to the last,” the North Korean leader explained.

Kim stressed that Trump is “unfit to hold the prerogative of supreme command of a country.”

The young dictator warned that he will make Trump “pay dearly” for his rhetoric. “I will surely and definitely take the mentally-deranged dotard with fire,” Kim concluded.

North Korea is believed to be in possession of a staged thermonuclear weapon that can be mounted on an intercontinental ballistic missile that can strike parts, if not most, of the continental U.S.

Not only do the North Korean leader’s threats follow Trump’s United Nations address, but the president also issued an executive order Thursday expanding the power of the Department of the Treasury to impose sanctions on the regime and any country that aids it.
