Johnson and Weld Answer Questions on Reddit

Tonight on Reddit, the Libertarian presidential ticket will be fielding questions. Starting at 9:00, Governors Gary Johnson and William Weld seek to engage the audience. Interested parties can follow along at reddit.com/r/IAmA.

The Libertarians face an uphill climb in the 2016 race, but have thus far performed extremely well for a third-party. Despite criticisms from all sides, the duo has consistently polled at 10% nationally. At the state level, the ticket has polled even better, recently reaching 25% in a poll of his one-time home state of New Mexico.

The two men each have extremely interesting backgrounds and could therefore certainly produce interesting answers during the Reddit session.

The AMA is only the latest attempt by the two to garner national attention. It should serve particularly well in achieving this goal among younger voters, a target demographic. A recent poll showed Johnson in first among this group.

About one month ago, Donald Trump completed his own Reddit AMA. Likewise, Jill Stein took to Reddit for an AMA in May. Though Hillary Clinton has not yet completed such a question-and-answer session, she did briefly appear on Reddit in March to thank her supporters.
