John McCain Talks of “Cordial” Relationship with Ted Cruz (VIDEO)

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The man who coined the term “Whacko Bird” referring to Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) is reportedly singing a different tune these days. Despite past disagreements, Senator John McCain (R-AZ) claims that he and Cruz now have a ‘cordial’ relationship.

Speaking at a town hall, Senator McCain claims that fighting amongst Republicans has to stop. He said he recently had dinner with Cruz and that it’s time for the GOP to work together to fight the Democrats.

McCain made headlines during the recent government shutdown by chastising Senator Cruz’s attempt to block the implementation of the Affordable Care Act saying, “I have to say, ‘Stop! You’re wrong, you’re crazy!’”

Referring to Obamacare, McCain had said that “the people spoke,” when they elected Obama in 2012. He also believed that lawmakers shouldn’t, “give up our efforts to repair Obamacare.”
