It appears that former Republican Presidential nominee, Jeb Bush, may be more than just talk in his potential support for Libertarian Presidential Candidate Gary Johnson. At least if you believe what Washington Bureau Chief from New York Daily NewsCameron Joseph.

On Thursday afternoon, Joseph tweeted about an exclusive from the New York Daily News, that Bush “repeatedly suggested voting for Gary Johnson at private luncheon.”

According to Joseph’s post and article, Bush joked about a “President Johnson” several times during the luncheon, and even silently whispered his name to an attendee who said that he “couldn’t bring myself to vote for Hillary [Clinton] or [Donald] Trump.”

A Bush spokesman did not deny his comments, however they did mention that Bush has not made up his mind completely.

“Nothing has changed since the Governor wrote (a Washington Post) op-ed a couple months ago saying he couldn’t support Hillary or Trump. He has said he would consider voting for the Libertarian ticket. No decision/update though,”

Regardless of your opinion of Jeb Bush, as a Libertarian or otherwise, an endorsement from one of America’s leading political families can only be a boost to a presidential campaign. It would bring eyes, and donors to any campaign, and for Johnson, both are very much needed.
