*VIDEO* Is the War on Drugs racist?

Is the War on Drugs inherently racist?

Although a great many in the African American community lean socially conservative and oppose drug reform, statistics show that the laws disproportionately harm their own communities. And despite Democrats lip service to reform of drug laws, they are often the most militant in enforcing this vicious vice war on the American people.

There are also laws that create disparities in the use of the same drug but in a different form such as crack cocaine vs. powdered cocaine. President Barack Obama signed a law reducing, but not equalizing the sentencing disparity that puts users of the crack form (blacks) facing stiffer penalties those who than those who use powder (whites). And though studies have shown that whites are more prone to abuse drugs than blacks, the incarceration rate would lead you to believe that minorities are the more prevalent offenders. Drug law enforcement is disproportionally distributed on minority communities for many reasons that will sound obvious when you watch the video from a former Drug Enforcement Agent below.
