Blood in the Water
President Obama took to the stage yesterday to defend his healthcare website. Although he spoke out of two sides of his mouth claiming that the “product is working” while simultaneously calling for a “tech surge” to solve all the problems. Calls are mounting for Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, who spent $500 million on a website using ten year old technology, to be fired.
The president is backing away from that however.
The media has been eviscerating the President in the last 24 hours. John Dickerson, CBS’ political director calls the program a ‘total fiasco’ that threatens the administration with a ‘credibility death spiral’. John Stewart even delivered an epic takedown asking how the White House would “spin this turd”.
One man has spent around 12 hours trying to get Obamacare, and he still has no idea if he’ll be offered a plan. ABC news has the report below. Considering that the American people will be fined if they can’t sign up for this plan, the administration is going to have to fix this fast, or he’ll lose credibility with the media.
Despite their general lapdop stance to authority, the press is a fickle friend. They like a good story of great men being brought down. A great many fancy the chance to take down a president and win a Pulitzer more than they like the free cocktails at the White House parties.
