Hardware Shop Owner Puts Up “NO GAYS ALLOWED” Sign

By: Laura Meyers

You know what’s super gay? When Christians ostracize gays.

A hardware shop owner in east Tennessee posted a “NO GAYS ALLOWED” sign on the front window of his store this week in response to the Supreme Court ruling in favor of gay marriage.

Do gays even go to hardware stores anyway?

Jeff Amyx, who owns Amyx Hardware & Roofing Supplies in east Tennessee, says he posted the sign because he feels gay and lesbian relationships are against his religion.

Amyx is a Baptist minister.

He told a local news station that he realized homosexual people are not afraid to stand for what they believe in, and that showed him how Christian people should be brave enough to stand for what they believe in.

Oh boy, Jeff. You really messed this one up, buddy.

Wasn’t Jesus the guy who walked with prostitutes and murderers? I don’t remember the last time I read in scripture that “one shall banish homosexuals from thine hardware store.”

“They gladly stand for what they believe in, why can’t I?” Amyx told local reporters. “They believe their way is right, I believe it’s wrong. But yet I’m going to take more persecution than them because I’m standing for what I believe in.”

This is one of those things where I just sit back and say “smh,” and hope that the market shoes him how successful hatred is for business.
