Hard Rock Casino all set to rock Atlantic City with great music!

Hard Rock Casino, the newest casino of the Atlantic City is all set to rock it with some excellent music! As the casino itself is themed around music, and is opening this summer, the whole idea of creating something like this is to gradually shape it into the musical mecca of East Coast. You can expect more than 200 nights of live exciting music in the first year of its launch!

This augurs very well for people planning to visit Atlantic City anytime soon. In fact, a visit to this new casino is a must in anyone’s things-to-do list for the Atlantic City.

Hard Rock International, the global entertainment, resort and gambling company is also planning to enlarge its concert venue at Trump Taj Mahal (former), to increase its capacity from 5200 to 7000 seats. Jim Allen, the current CEO, Hard Rock International who’s also a seasoned Atlantic City casino executive has promised people that the newly launched casino will bring a huge number of live music performances to the city than it has ever seen.

At present, the music shows at various casinos, as well as their frequency vary from place to place, however, most of them happen only on weekends. The executive director of Levenson Institute of Gaming, Hospitality and Tourism, Stockton University, NJ, Mr Rummy Pandit, recently said while talking to the press, “Bringing entertainment into the city mid-week at off-peak times will be a particularly persuasive reason for visitors to consider extending their stay. Turning a two-night weekend stay into a long weekend or mid-week getaway can make a huge difference for Atlantic City’s lodging, food and beverage, retail, gaming and tourism businesses.”

David Schwartz, Director, Centre for Gaming Research, University of Nevada, Las Vegas is of the opinion that having a diverse lineup for the music offerings is going to lure more number of people to the city. Once the people start visiting Atlantic City solely for live music, they may gradually expand their horizons to other entertainment mediums as well.

Talking more about Hard Rock, it has the world’s biggest collection of music memorabilia, a significant portion of which has already been brought to its Atlantic City casino. Some of the items on display at the newly launched casino would include a Whitney Houston worn jumpsuit, Jon Bon Jovi signed guitar and a dress worn by Mariah Carey.

Allen further informed the press that the live shows planned at Hard Rock Casino would range from the top A-list performers (who’d be playing in the Mark Etess Arena) to smaller club level performances on the casino floor. And regardless of the ubiquitous guitars that Hard Rock is so well known for, the casino’s music performances will not just be about rock ‘n’ roll music, people will witness a fairly diverse mix catering to every taste. In fact, they have already signed up Beyoncé and Jay-Z to play at the Hard Rock Stadium, Miami!
