Pelosi Bizarrely Dodges This One SCOTUS Question

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) displayed rather bizarre behavior during an interview on ABC’s “This Week” with host George Stephanopoulos Sunday morning.

Pelosi was interviewed to discuss her perspective on the passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and her thoughts on President Trump’s upcoming SCOUTS nomination, which she claims is an attempt to kill the “Affordable Care Act.”

“If the president does not think this isn’t about the Coronavirus, it is. It’s about healthcare, so the president is rushing to make some kind of a decision because November 10th is when the oral arguments begin on the Affordable Care Act. He doesn’t want to crush the virus; he wants to crush the Affordable Care Act, Speaker Pelosi said.

“Again, in terms of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, any one of us who knew her, who loved her, who respected her and that includes almost anybody who have an appreciation for greatness mourn her loss, but would want us to move forward to protect the people who are sick. Those with coronavirus, millions of them who now have a pre-existing condition..that is what the president wants to crush when he says he want to replace the justice in this short period of time, she continued.

Stephanopoulos pushed Pelosi to answer what she and House Democrats would do to attempt to prevent the Senate from confirming a Supreme Court Justice nominated by President Trump, including attempting to impeach the president or Attorney General William Barr.

Things got strange as Pelosi appears to try to dodge the question by regreeting Stephanopoulos, wishing him a good morning, and briefly appearing absent-minded when she was asked if she was ruling out any attempt to block President Trump’s nomination from reaching the Senate for a vote.

“Good morning, Sunday morning,” Pelosi said with nervous laughter. “We have a responsibility; we take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States..we have a responsibility to meet the needs of the American people. When we weigh the equities of protecting our democracy requires us to use every arrow in our quiver,” she continued.

Speaker Pelosi claims President Trump nominating a new Supreme Court Justice is a threat to the health of our country, but one has to wonder if the Speaker of the House is healthy after her strange performance?
