Gary Johnson, former New Mexico governor and Libertarian Party presidential candidate, recently released a new ad on YouTube, titled Never Trump.
“Like you I’m not voting for Donald Trump,” he says at the beginning of the video.
Johnson fell back on his age old tactic of using his experience and exposure as the former two-term Republican governor of New Mexico.
“The press used to call me the most fiscally responsible governor in America. And that’s because I felt like it was my sacred duty to protect your tax money.”
With Ted Cruz mathematically eliminated from attaining the necessary delegates to avoid a contested convention, Donald Trump appears to the most likely Republican nominee.
“I’m going to be the only presidential candidate who will stop Congress from raising taxes, who supports free trade, and who stands up for you!” Johnson says, hitting Donald Trump’s protectionist trade policies and Hillary Clinton’s proposal to raise taxes.
“Look, I can’t support Trump, you can’t support Trump. We can fight for small government and conservative values. Just google Gary Johnson and find out.”
Johnson received 11% in a recent poll featuring him against Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.
