It looks like Bernie Sanders will be participating in a debate, after all; but not against his primary opponent.
This week, Hillary Clinton released a statement saying she would not debate her competitor, Bernie Sanders, before the primary vote in California. But that isn’t stopping Sanders from still fighting in the debate arena.
On Wednesday evening, while on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Donald Trump agreed to the idea of a Trump vs. Sanders debate, under one condition.
“If I debated him, we would have such high ratings and I think I should take that money and give it to some worthy charity,” Trump said.
Sanders eagerly accepted the offer, setting Twitter ablaze with the hashtag #BernieTrumpDebate.
Game on. I look forward to debating Donald Trump in California before the June 7 primary.
