Viewer Outrage: Fox News Anchor Disgusted By “All Lives Matter”

All Lives Matter

Yesterday, while interviewing Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal concerning the police shooting event in Baton Rogue, Fox News anchor Shepard Smith became audibly annoyed at the Governor’s use of the phrase “all lives matter.” Smith challenged Jindal, and then “educated” him as to the offense some might take to the term. Here is the exchange; first, by Jindal:

We’ve gotta say that all lives matter, it doesn’t matter what color you are, black – white, brown, red – It doesn’t matter, all lives matter…”

To which the Fox News anchor abruptly interrupted with this reply (annoyed tone):

Governor do you know that phrase you just used is one that is seen by many as derogatory right? I just wondered why it is that you used that phrase when there is a certain segment of the population that believes it’s a real dig on them?

Viewers of the Fox News channel were not happy with Smith’s apparent condescension and took to Twitter to voice their concerns; some even calling for the firing of Smith.

What do you think? Is “All Lives Matter,” an offensive term? Watch the full interview segment below and let us know your thoughts on Facebook.
