Hundreds of angry Filipinos descended on the U.S. embassy in Manila Friday to oppose soon-to-be President Donald Trump.

Shouting “dump Trump,” the more than 300 protesters blasted the incoming administration with accusations of xenophobia, sexism, and racism. The leftist groups also claimed the president-elect is a threat to Filipino immigrants in the U.S., reports AFP.

The protesters also criticized “U.S. imperialism,” burning American flags and demanding the removal of U.S. military forces from the Philippines.

President Barack Obama “sugar-coated imperialism but Trump has shown an in-your-face kind of imperialism,” protest leader Renato Reyes told the Philippine Star.

The protesters carried signs that read “Trump, you’re trash” and symbolically threw photos of Trump in trash cans.

“It is alarming to know that an accused sexual predator, a known racist, sexist, xenophobic man is assuming the presidency of the strongest capitalist country in the world,” Joms Salvador, secretary-general of a local women’s group, told reporters.

“The decades of struggle of women across the world to fight for their rights is threatened by Trump’s presidency,” she added.

“We are very concerned about Filipino workers in the US dealing with a rise of racism. Some Filipinos there are getting paranoid about their personal safety and their job security,” Salvador further commented.

Muslim protesters called on President of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte to stay away from Trump.

Tensions between Duterte and the Obama administration have created a rift between the U.S. and its long-time ally, but Duterte appears to be a fan of Trump, viewing him as a fellow populist strongman.

Duterte was among the first foreign leaders to congratulate Trump on his victory.

Anti-Trump protests extended beyond Manila. A man in Hong Kong reportedly chained himself to the U.S. embassy in Hong Kong to protest Trump, arguing he “represents everything bad in the world.”
