REDMOND, WA – On the day Eric Lehtinen‘s divorce was to be final, his wife came home to find him… and her 4-year-old son, overdosed on heroin. According to police, the wife knew he had a history as a heroin addict and dealer, but left them alone anyway while she went for a job interview. When she came home she found them in bed and noticed that the little boy had a syringe filled with drugs on his chest.
The father and son were still alive however, and the mother rushed them to the hospital. They both survived but Eric is now in jail, charged with attempted murder in the first degree. The mother was demanding drug tests be a part of the child custody order.
