Facebook Apologizes to Franklin Graham and Removes Ban

Facebook has apologized to the Reverend Franklin Graham for a 24-hour ban they placed on his Facebook page last week. A spokesperson from Facebook  was reported as saying, “Facebook has restored the 2016 post and will apologize in a note to the administrator of Graham’s Facebook.”

The spokesperson went on to say that a member of Facebook’s 15,000 member content review team had mistakenly determined that the post made by Graham violated Facebook’s policy that bans “dehumanizing language” and excluding people based on sexual orientation, race and other factors.

Why? Graham’s post had dealt with North Carolina’s HB-2 (the bathroom bill.) and Bruce Springsteen’s decision not to play a concert in the state as an act of protest to the bill.

Here is a segment from “Fox and Friends” that Graham posted on his Twitter account today thanking Facebook for their apology.
