Unlimited drink offers banned in NYC

In December, New York City’s bars toasted the 80th anniversary of the end of Prohibition. Yet Prohibition in New York City has yet to end.
On Monday, the New York City Hospitality Alliance warned restaurants around the city that unlimited drink offers are against the law.
A Yelp search for “bottomless mimosas” in New York City turns up 93 results.
New York’s Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control “prohibits from selling, serving, delivering or offering to patrons an unlimited number of drinks during any set period of time for a fixed price.”
According to historian Michael A. Lerner, “nowhere did Prohibition fail more spectacularly” than in New York City.
