Dems Begin to Meltdown Over Hillary, Eye Joe Biden as Replacement

Democratic leaders are getting pretty nervous behind closed doors and several sources are now reporting that the party may be making a last minute substitution for its nominee for President of the United States.

The National Review reports that the report from the Justice Department’s inspector general has prompted party insiders to dust off their Plan B for the upcoming Fall election. Even if Hillary skates without any legal repercussion for her rogue email server, Democrats know that a potentially damning FBI report may be leaked in the coming weeks; meaning Hillary may quickly become an unwinnable candidate.

An anonymous former Democratic senator tells NR, ““Trump lies about his businesses and changes with the wind; but if Hillary is found to have compromised national security, that will be viewed as more relevant to the job of president.”

Carl Bernstein, who helped break the Watergate scandal during the Nixon Administration, told CNN:

Hillary Clinton did not want her e-mails subjected to the Freedom of Information Act or subpoenas from Congress, and that’s why she set up a home-brew server. I think we all know that. People around her will tell you that in private if you really get them behind a closed door.  I spoke to a number of top Democratic officials, and they’re terrified, including people at the White House, that her campaign is in freefall because of this distrust factor. And, indeed, Trump has a similar problem. But she’s the one whose numbers are going south.

So what is Plan B if Clinton becomes too damaged to carry the Democratic flag in November’s election?

Joe Biden — you know, the man who we all thought was going to run, who postured as if he was going to and even called a press conference in the Rose Garden only to pull a head fake and announce he would not be running. Biden’s decision apparently fell to his family and his desire not to put them through the rigorous process so soon after losing their son.

However, one cannot help but think that if Biden does become the nominee, that his decision not to run allowed Hillary to expend all her ammo on Bernie Sanders. Could Biden have known that Hillary’s scandals would grow and threaten to take her down? Absolutely.

But how can someone who hasn’t won a single vote be nominated, you may be asking? Remember, unlike the Republicans, Democrats have super delegates — they can pick whomever they want to at the convention.

Speculation is growing that the Dems may swap out Hillary for a Biden-Warren ticket, tapping progressive senator Elizabeth Warren for the number 2 job.

In this election cycle? Anything is possible!
