Democrat: Democrats will win in 2014 on Obamacare

We’ll Check Back On Her Next Year

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) took to the airwaves to argue that she believes that Democrats will be able to run on Obamacare as an advantage in 2014.

Schultz: “I think Obamacare, because Americans have been feeling the benefits since 2010, where young adults can stay on their parents’ insurance until they’re 26, where on January 1 if you have a preexisting condition, like I do, as you know, as a breast cancer survivor, the peace of mind … that those Americans are going to have knowing that they can never be dropped or denied coverage for that preexisting condition, the preventative care that’s available without a co-pay or a deductible, those are benefits that Americans have already been feeling and will increasingly feel as Obamacare is fully implemented.”

Schultz believes the country is against tea party extremism and is fully confident that the president’s signature legislation will be a positive next year.

Meanwhile President Barack Obama‘s poll numbers have taken a nosedive due to the botched rollout of Healthcare.gov. The state of Oregon has reportedly tracked zero sign ups for the plan and Democrats up for reelection next year are reportedly scrambling for cover. Senator Jeff Merkley (D-OR) when asked if Democrats were losing credibility stated, “You got to have it, to lose it.”

Fifteen Senate Democrats sat down with the White House and reportedly gave the president a piece of their mind over the disaster. Senator Mark Begich (D-AK) issued a statement that declared it was,”absolutely unacceptable” mismanagement and “an understandable crisis in confidence.”

The administration wants at least 7 million Americans enrolled in Obamacare in 2014 and another 9 million to enroll in Medicare by March 31st.
