David Koch to Barbara Walters: I’m Conservative On Economics, Socially Liberal

Pariah of social democrats, David Koch sat down with Barbara Walters to discuss his views on fiscal and social policy. Koch explained his philosophy as being libertarian, though he mostly supports candidates based on their economic views.

Koch described himself as personally socially liberal, and when asked why he supported candidates who disagree with him, he said: “That’s their problem,” Koch replied. “What I want these candidates to do is support a balanced budget. I’m very worried that if the budget is not balanced inflation could occur and the economy of the country could suffer mightily.”

 

Austin Petersen is a homegrown Missourian with a lifelong passion for liberty. Additionally, Petersen has a national following as a commentator and professional pundit. He is the founder of The Libertarian Republic, a powerful online news source for the public that receives an average of 1 million unique visits monthly and whose podcast, The Freedom Report, receives an average of one million monthly downloads. He is also a frequent contributor on television, appearing on Fox News, Fox Business, CNN, MSNBC and on dozens of local radio shows.
