Condoms Filled With Cocaine Were Intercepted On Way To The Vatican

Cocaine JesusBERLIN – A drug haul of multiple cocaine filled condoms were on an apparent high holy mission to the Vatican when they were intercepted in Berlin in January.

Officers at Leipzig airport found 12 ounces of cocaine packed inside 14 condoms coming from South America hidden in a box of cushions. The package was addressed to the Vatican post office, so any one of the 800 residents there could have picked it up.

A sting operation failed to find the intended recipient at the end location. No one claimed the package which gave police the suspicion that someone tipped them off about the plan.

Vatican spokesman Rev. Federico Lombardi confirmed that the Vatican police cooperated with German police in the attempt to find out who the traffickers were. The investigation is ongoing.
