MSNBC: GOP is ‘Confederacy of Hate’ all about Secession and Nullification! (VIDEO)

Does Chris Matthews Have A Clue?

MSNBC anchor Chris Matthews took aim at the Grand Old Party, likening their struggle to the Confederates at Bull Run. He points a finger at the Republicans for their dreams of secession and nullification. The battle cry for limited government is a rebel yell generated from a ‘Confederacy of Hate’ he says.

He opens his monologue saying, “They call themselves the American people, as if the majority that voted for President Obama are some invading force of others or a group of lesser Americans who should be credited with only three fifths of a vote, like they were before the Civil War and the 13th Amendment made them whole.”

Despite Matthews slandering, the principles of Nullification and Secession aren’t limited to the rebels of Mannassas.

Nullification is the principle that states can and must refuse unconstitutional federal laws. An example might be the Fugitive Slave Act, which the Supreme Court held to be constitutional. And secession is the greatest of all American principles for the simple reason that we seceded from England ourselves. Matthews total confusion on these issues stems from the same mindset that had a Yale law professor feeling very embarrassed when they took a guess at how smart the Tea Party was.

The Matthews rant is below.
