Governor Chris Christie assured GOP debate viewers that he could improve relations with a man who has been dead for 16 years.
Christie proclaimed that he would be more trusted by Jordanian King Hussein than President Obama. The only problem being that Hussein died in 1999.
“When I stand across from King Hussein of Jordan, I say to him you have a friend sir who will stand with you to fight this fight,” Christie said during Tuesday’s Republican primary debate.
A mistake that may be easily excused, but a badly timed one for someone asserting their authority on foreign policy.
The current leader of Jordan is King Abdullah II.
