BREAKING: Obama Is Denied; 9/11 Victim Families Can Sue Saudi Arabia

by Eli Bowman

The New York Times reports, in what can be considered a huge win for the victims of the 9/11 terror attacks, that the House and Senate have voted overwhelmingly to override President Barack Obama‘s veto, thus allowing the families of the victims to sue the government of Saudi Arabia. President Obama has previously voiced concern over the precedent that would be set if so many people were allowed to sue foreign governments, siding against personal liberty.

The political timing couldn’t be any better for Republicans and conversely couldn’t be any worse for Democrats. This override paints Mr. Obama, Hillary Clinton, and other Democrats as heartless and more concerned with politics than the interests of American citizens. The full NYT article can be found here.
