The mother of an 8-year-old Florida boy is fighting back after her son was suspended for pointing his finger into the shape of a gun.

Bonnie Bennett said that her son Jordan was suspended from Harmony Community School after a game of ‘cops & robbers’. Jordan used his fingers to act like he had a gun, but wasn’t making any threats or harming anyone. But he was suspended anyway. “They took a child that has never been in trouble before and went to the extreme,” said Bennett. “A child that has no history of violence is now classified as a violent offender.”
