Boy Defends His Girlfriend From Rapist, Pummels Attacker

CONWAY, SC – An attempted rapist is in jail after being brutally beaten by the boyfriend of the girl who he tried to rape. A mugshot of William Mattson, 52, shows him bruised and bloodied with the look of a man who’s been through hell.

Mattson was officially charged with criminal sexual conduct after police found him outside of the house where he tried to rape the girl. The boyfriend, who is reportedly Mattson’s nephew, had found his uncle on top of her in the bedroom, and began pummeling him until he was driven to the front lawn.

Investigators claim that the boyfriend was “acting in defense for the victim.”
