Bank Robber Of The Year Robs 3 Banks In 30 MINUTES

By Casey Harper

A 50-year-old woman allegedly managed to rob three banks in a 30 minutes Monday.

Cindy Carabeo was arrested and charged with three counts of armed robbery after an alleged spree of bank heists. Police say Carabeo hit up three banks in 30 minutes on Monday before police arrested her.

At 3:19 p.m., Carabeo picked her first target: BB&T bank. She allegedly gave a written note to a bank teller saying she had a gun and she wanted money. Once she got an undisclosed bundle of cash, she fled the scene, not to her hideout, but to another bank.

By 3:35 p.m., police say Carabeo arrived at Wells Fargo and pulled the same trick. She gave a written note to a bank teller saying she wanted cash and that she had a gun.

At 3:43 p.m., Carabeo allegedly walked into the Florida Central Credit Union to complete the bank robbery triple crown. She allegedly used the same note routine and fled with her third stash of cash. The amount of money stolen was not disclosed.

The overzealousness proved her undoing, though. Because of the multiple robberies, police were able to piece together information to identify her car as a 2004 Suzuki 4-door which led them to Carabeo’s apartment.

Police were waiting at her apartment when she pulled up.

Bank officials at all three banks identified Carabeo as the ambitious bank robber.
