Army Vet and Gun Instructor Makes Video Demonstrating Why Alton Sterling Shooting Was Justified

Mike Brown, Founder of the No Excuses Foundation is causing major waves with a Facebook video that has now been viewed over 5 million times. In the video, Brown addresses the struggle with police that led to the shooting death of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge.

Brown, an Army veteran and firearms instructor, said he initially believed the shooting of Sterling was not justified, but after learning that Sterling had a gun in his pocket, he has changed his mind. Police had been called and told Sterling had threatened a homeless man with a gun, leading to the struggle.

Critics of the police action say the Sterling’s gun was in his pocket, rendering it not a threat to police. However, Brown says that is foolishness and demonstrates why.
