An anti-bull fighting activist was gored by a bull after jumping into a bull fighting ring in southern France Sunday, according to local police.
The male protestor, who received a “long but not deep” injury, was accompanied into the ring by a female animal rights activist who sustained no injuries, local police told Yahoo.

A Youtube video of the incident, posted by aRichest, shows the bull charge the male protestor moments after he jumps into the ring. After launching the man into the air with its horns, the bull tramples him underfoot.
Prior to the bull fight two separate protestors hung a sign that read “Stop Bullfighting” from the ramparts of Carcassonne, the French town where the event was held.
Bull fighting is illegal in most of France, but it remains a protected historical tradition in certain regions of southern France.
