Superintendent Drew Enormous Salary & Perks For Small School District
LOS ANGELES, CA – Citizens of the Ceninela Valley School District read district superintendent Jose Fernandez the riot act at a public meeting earlier this week. Citizens learned that Fernandez had collected an annual salary of $665,365.
Fernandez also received a mortgage benefit loan of $910,000 at 2% interest to buy his house. Local homeowners, taxpayers and parents showed up at the meeting to confront Fernandez in a scene that saw them calling for the man’s arrest.
Fernandez looked befuddled as one man shouted “You are a disgrace to this country and to the Hispanic community.”
Fernandez oversees four schools with 6,637 children.
“It makes me wonder what you guys are all getting paid up there,” said a woman to the board members. “Because if you were able to allow this, what are your perks?”
