Over the weekend, two members of the Florida Air National Guard, deployed to Orlando, chose not to postpone their wedding, but rather to move it from the beach to a warehouse. The couple, Senior Airmen Lauren Durham and Michael Davis, had intended on an idyllic beach wedding in their home state. Hurricane Irma had other plans, blowing through a week before the planned date of the wedding.
Many National Guard Soldiers and Airmen were deployed as part of their service obligation, but the couple volunteered to go in spite of their plans.
