Active Shooters Reported at Texas Tech University

Grant Deltz, Associate Editor

There was a call around 7:50 pm CT reporting that there was a shooting at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. As a student at Texas Tech, I will share what we know.

Reportedly, the shooter was brought in for a welfare check. When drug paraphernalia’s found, he was brought into a campus police station for further questioning, and shot one police officer. The officer has been reported as dead.

There have been secondhand reports stating multiple shooters, and those saying the original shooter is on the move. These have now been proven false.

This article will be updated for accuracy and a followup article documenting the firsthand results will be issued as well from this author.

UPDATE: 9:33 CT – There are reports that the suspect is now officially in custody.
