5 Things to Watch For in GOP Debate

With the CNBC debate not going the way anybody wanted it to, tonight’s debate is going to be hosted by Fox Business.. So here are five things to watch for during tonight’s debate.

1) Actual questions that matter

Yes, this might be it. After three debates where people were asked to go after each other, Ted Cruz told the moderators what the American people were tired of. Ronald Reagan’s 11th Commandment has been violated repeatedly by most of the candidates and the debates have become personal attacks against each candidate or asking each candidate to tear into each other. Hopefully this debate asks questions about policy. 

2) John Kasich and Chris Christie

Both of these guys got a lot of limelight in the last debate. It might not help. You have to have at least 2.5% in order to be in the upper class debate and it looks like these two might not make it. It depends on what Fox  Business does and how they count the polling.

3) More attacks on the Fed

Rand Paul and Ted Cruz went after the Federal Reserve. Ted Cruz called for a return of the gold standard and Rand Paul called for an audit of the Federal Reserve. They both hammered how the Federal Reserve helped cause income inequality.

4) More focus on tax plans

In the last debate there was a big back and forth on the candidates tax plans. Look to see even more about them. All of their tax plans are online to look at at the Tax Foundation website.

5) Less Focus on Trump

The last debate also featured something interesting; there was less focus on Trump. While the first two debates heavily focused on Trump with him getting more air time than the rest of the candidates, the CNBC one had him in the middle of the pack in time spoken. It may continue here.
