3 of Ronald Reagan’s Most Epic Quotes

Being born and raised conservative, Ronald Reagan has naturally become on of my biggest role models.

Not only was he an epic conservative, he was born in a town less than two hours from where I grew up in Illinois, and also lived in the town where I went to college when he was a boy. As I grew up, I began to become more and more fascinated with him as time went on during my journey in becoming a conservative millennial activist.

Here are three of my favorite Reagan quotes:

Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”

This quote is perhaps my favorite of Regan’s because the message of this statement is nothing but powerful. This statement from Reagan just reminds us that freedom is not free. Being a conservative activist, I fight for freedom on a daily basis, and am constantly reminding students that the freedoms we have as Americans do not come without sacrifice and protection. This message is important to pass on because in order to guarantee freedom for generations to come, these realizations need to become instilled in Americans all across this beautiful country we are lucky to call home.

This quote is nothing short of genius. As a Turning Point USA employee, I always carry and display the foam board with this quote on it because of how attention grabbing it is.  This quote perfectly sums up the fact that having to rely on help from the government is nowhere near ideal and that it should actually scare a person. This quote is one of the most effective to get this point across, and to put it simply, it’s absolutely brilliant.

 

 

 

“If we ever forget that wimagese’re one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.”

This quote is my favorite of Reagan’s pertaining the importance of faith in American society. With the ridiculous culture of being “politically correct” that is sweeping the nation these days, using a quote like this, which today would not be labeled as politically correct, is just awesome. As a person who values religious liberty in this country today, I cannot thank Reagan enough for a statement as important as this one.
