3 Arrested Entering NYC with Cache of Guns, Ammo, Body Armor, Knives

A cracked windshield led to arrests just outside the Holland Tunnel while traveling to New York City

Early reports stating 2 men in their 50’s and one woman in her 20’s were on the way to New York City when they were arrested with a cache of guns, tons of ammo, body armor, and knives. They were stopped for a cracked windshield just outside the Holland Tunnel on the way to New York City.  Although drugs were found in the vehicle, NBC New York reports, “The Joint-Terrorism Task Force is now involved and looking into this.”

NBC New York further states, “One of the suspects allegedly told authorities the trio was en route to Queens to try to save a friend who is on heroin and being held against her will.”

The NY Post reports:

Three people were busted Tuesday with a cache of firearms, ammunition and body armor at the Holland Tunnel, law enforcement sources said.

Cops at the New Jersey entrance of the tunnel stopped a green Dodge pickup truck — with three Pennsylvania residents in it — for a cracked windshield, Port Authority sources told The Post.

After spotting a gun, cops searched the vehicle and uncovered loaded weapons, about 2,000 rounds of ammo and ballistic vests, sources said.
