Chris Lloyd is an English golfer who achieved a number of amateur victories before gaining a tour card for the Challenge Tour in 2011. Chris Lloyd is available to be booked for after dinner speaking engagements and brand endorsements through MN2S Talent Agency in London.
Lloyd’s victories at amateur level include wins at the Ernie Els Junior Championship in 2007, the Henry Cooper in 2008 and the Abu Dhabi Junior Championship in 2009. He was also a member of the England squad and was capped for the England men’s and boy’s teams, and also played in the Junior Ryder Cup in 2008 and 2010.
In 2011, Lloyd performed strongly and consistently to come through the necessary qualifying rounds of the European Tour School to gain his playing card for The Challenge Tour in 2011. Despite missing the final cut at the qualifying school the following year and consequently missing out on a spot on the European Tour for the season, Lloyd played golf of a high standard on the Challenge Tour throughout 2012.
The year afterwards, however, Lloyd performed admirably at the same qualifying event, shooting the lowest round of the, a five under par 67, meaning he finished inside the top 25 and secured his place for the 2013 Race to Dubai.
Despite suffering from a wrist injury throughout 2014, he managed to secure full playing rights for the 2015 season due to a strong performance at the European Tour Qualifying School finish in 15th place.
Lloyd’s 2014 season was one nightmarishly plagued by injury, experiencing problems with a bulging disc, appendicitis, a torn pectoral muscle and a rib injury, meaning he only managed to play six Challenge Tour events in the season, his strongest finish being 4th place at the Czech Challenge at the beginning of June.
Despite extreme bad luck with injuries, the 22 year old, who turned professional in 2010, has high hopes for the future and feels positive about getting back to playing regular golf and beginning to build on his success. Spending much of the winter practising in Houston, he intends to qualify for the American version of the Challenge Tour, having begun to feel very at home playing his golf in the area.
Returning from injury, Chris Lloyd’s golf looks stronger than ever and will hopefully gain more success in the years to come. Chris Lloyd can be booked to appear at a variety of public and private entertainment events through London based booking agency MN2S.
