18 Emails Between Obama and Hillary Clinton Withheld From Public

The State Department found 18 emails between President Obama and Hillary Clinton stored on Hillary’s private email server, and they are withholding the correspondence from public view.

Hillary Clinton must be walking around Iowa with her eyes held up to the sky. Any day now, a massive piano (or private email server) could soon fall on her head, squashing her presidential aspirations. For now, she soldiers on, but the slow drip of emails from her private server continues to serve Hillary’s political prospects poorly.

The State Department on Friday confirmed Clinton’s server held 22 emails containing “top secret” information–information so highly classified they can’t be released to the public, even in a heavily redacted manner. The State Department is also refusing to release another string of emails between President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton found on her server.

The Daily Caller reports:

In Friday’s press briefing, Kirby was asked by Associated Press reporter Matt Lee whether it is believed that Clinton and Obama emailed only 18 times while she was at the State Department, a span that stretched from Jan. 2009 to Feb. 2013.

“Of the 55,000 pages of traffic that was handed over by former Secretary Clinton to us for us to go through for release through FOIA, we have found these 18, and I do not expect that there will be more,” Kirby said.

The White House has previously stated that Obama did email with Clinton on her personal email account. That despite there being regulations and rules against federal officials using private email accounts. The White House has claimed that Obama did not know that Clinton was operating a private email system and using a home-brew server.
