Woman Stripped, Searched, And Jailed For Overdue Ticket (VIDEO)

You will pay or they will make you wish you had!

What’s the difference between the government and the mafia? At least if you pay the mafia they will leave you alone. But fail to pay either one, and it’s woe to you. That’s the lesson one North Texas woman learned when she was handcuffed, stripped, and booked into the local jail for failure to pay a simple ticket.

Sarah Boaz was cited with running a stop sign back in August. She claims to have lost the ticket, but stated that she knew it was no excuse not to pay it. She was on her way to work one morning when suddenly a Richland Hills City Marshal arrived with a warrant for her arrest. “I’m like, nobody puts out a bench warrant after 60 days. Why would you do that? You wouldn’t do that,” Boaz said.

But they did do that.

When Boaz arrived at the jail a female officer began giving her instructions telling her to undress. She recalled the officer stated,  “’I’m going to need you to undress. I’m going to need you to stand against the wall. Please don’t step in front of this white box, or I’ll take that’… aggressive toward me. Obviously I am going to jail.”

Apparently a strip search is standard operating procedure for this jail. Richland Hills has a very small police department, so they crack down on tickets to squeeze every dime they can out of the local population.

Boaz’ husband received a ticket yesterday for running a stop sign. Better pay up fast if you know what’s good for you.
