Woman Kills Hitman With Her Bare Hands, His Last Words? “You’re Strong”

Susan Walters of Portland, Oregon is speaking out on the date of her husband’s possible release from jail in order to inspire women and girls to be strong and fight back if they are ever under attack.

One night eight years ago, Walters found herself confronted by a hitman hired by her hubby who tried to kill her, but found that she was not going to be an easy target. “His last words on this earth were ‘you’re strong,'” she said.

For fourteen minutes she struggled with the attacker while he bludgeoned her with a hammer. “Not having any clue why he was in my home, I knew, I could feel his intent to kill me,” Walters said. “We were within inches of each other.”

Finally Walters was able to put the man in a choke hold and she said that if he told her who ordered the hit job, she’d call him an ambulance. The man refused to speak and died of asphyxiation.

But it didn’t matter.

A thorough police investigation revealed that Walters husband Michael Kuhnhausen had paid the man $50,000. Eight years after the fact he is now facing possible parole.

“I didn’t choose my attacker’s death for him,” Walters said. “I chose my life.” Now she’s speaking out and trying to inspire others. “If you feel like, ‘wow I don’t feel like I can do that.’ You can. You’re stronger than you know,” she said.
