Woman escapes from two carjackers arguing over who should carry the gun!

It’s dumb and dumber!

LUMBERTON, N.C. – Two carjackers foiled their own plot on Wednesday when they couldn’t decide between them who should be holding the gun, police said. The gun discharged while the robbers were struggling with it, giving the woman they kidnapped time to escape.

Raven Lee Singletary is glad to be alive after she picked up two men who stopped her to ask for a ride. She picked up Frankie Lowery and James Gilchrist on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Lumberton, when one of the two men produced a pistol. The two thieves started arguing over who would hold the weapon, and in the ensuing struggle, Singletary escaped.

Lowery and Gilchrist were later captured and are charged with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, shooting into occupied property and possessing a stolen firearm. Their bail is set at $75,000.
