Vigilante Dad Driven By Daughter’s Memory Arrested With Arsenal In Tricked Out Monster Truck

A Pennsylvania father was so overcome after his daughter’s fatal heroin overdose that he became a vigilante on a quest to save others from the drug.

Police arrested John Cramsey, 50, Tuesday in a huge pickup truck full of guns, ammo, body armor and marijuana. Cramsey, whose daughter died four months ago from heroin overdose, was with his team of heavily armed vigilantes who attempt to rescue people from drug dens. They were on another rescue mission to Brooklyn when they were stopped and arrested for weapons charges at the Holland Tunnel.

Cramsey, who owns a gun range, got word of a 16-year-old girl who overdosed and needed help.

Police stopped Cramsey and two others because their truck had a cracked windshield. In the truck, police found 2,000 rounds of ammunition, body armor, a camouflage helmet, a small amount of marijuana plus a pipe, and seven guns, including an AR-15. Some of the guns were loaded. One of the boxes of ammunition read, “Shoot your local heroin dealer.”

“Ever since then he has been on a mission of mercy to save kids,” Cramsey’s friend Jeff Feather told The New York Post. “He’s saved at least a dozen kids by now. He was never the same after Lexi died. He is dedicated to helping anyone addicted.”
