Donald Trump suggests “closing that internet up in some ways” because of terrorism
Donald Trump recently suggested “closing that internet up in some ways” in order to help combat terrorism over concerns that children and others are being propagandized by ISIS and other groups.

Speaking to his usual raucous throng of supporters, Trump opined, “We’re losing a lot of people because of the internet. We have to see Bill Gates and a lot of different people that really understand what’s happening.”
Trump then continued, channeling Hillary Clinton’s call for tech companies to help censor online content, “We have to talk to them about, maybe in certain areas, closing that internet up in some ways. Somebody will say, ‘Oh freedom of speech, freedom of speech.’ These are foolish people. We have a lot of foolish people. We have A LOT of foolish people.”
So now, we have the two frontrunners for the major parties’ Presidential nominations–Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton–belittling those who raise “freedom of speech” concerns when it comes to regulating the Internet.
The fog of fear is only growing stronger as election day 2016 approaches.
