A transgender woman is accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl and then trying to buy her silence with McDonald’s, according to a Monday court testimony.
Dawn Love, a 57-year-old man who transitioned to a woman, allegedly fondled the young girl in 2014 during a car ride home from school, reports the Daily Mail.
Love spotted the girl walking home from school and offered to give her a ride home, according to prosecutor Richard Elliott. When the girl was in the car, Love began groping her, ignoring protest from the teen.
“The complainant made it clear that she didn’t want this to continue and Ms Love raised her hand to the complainant’s side and then started rubbing, through her clothes, close to her breasts. Shen then clasped her breasts over her clothes and after all this she took her to McDonald’s,” Elliott said in court.
The girl maintained that the offer to go to McDonald’s was a bribe to keep her silent.
“I think that was just her bribing me to get me to keep my mouth shut for the night,” the teen said at court.
The teen also alleged that Love tried to touch her again when he visited the girl’s home the day after.
“She pulled up the victim’s top and kissed her stomach. The complainant tried to force her off but unfortunately Ms. Love was too strong and it only stopped when they heard a noise. It lasted about two minutes,” Elliott said to the jury at Guildford Crown Court.
The girl said she remained traumatized from the attacks and Love’s refusal to stop.
“She kept asking why she couldn’t do it and I said she was much older than me and that I didn’t want her to do it,” the girl said. “She’s quite powerful because she used to be a man, she’s still got all that.”
An American transgender woman recently received a two to five year sentence for filming a girl in a Target changing room.
