A group of entrepreneurs has built a new product that aims to revolutionize the way the average consumers make purchases. The Coin is a magnetized swipe card that replaces credit cards at the checkout counter by consolidating them all onto on simple-to-use card.

The device is used by simply swiping your cards through your smart phone in order to enter the information. Consumers can then use the Coin to make purchases, selecting which card they want to make the purchase with at the touch of a button.

What happens if you lose your card? Well that’s simple, your phone beeps if you get too far away from your Coin. Do you want one? We do too! They’ll reportedly start at $100.

And speaking of leak, it appears we have a problem in the bitcoin system. $5 million dollars worth of Bitcoins disappeared overnight in China. A Chinese trading platform mysteriously shut down and $5 million worth of bitcoins went with it.

That didn’t stop the price of bitcoins from soaring Wednesday, which the WSJ reports is fueled by growing views that the virtual currency can have a credible future alternative to traditional methods of payment.
