Why Was Donald Trump Jr. Acting as His Father’s Senior Advisor in the First Place?
By Lee Enochs
The gig is up Donnie Jr…
In a scene reminiscent of National Lampoon’s Animal House, it has now been revealed that the bumbling and formerly drunken frat boy son of the President of the United States of America potentially committed treason against his country.
In one of the most colossal blunders in American political history, it has been conclusively demonstrated by the New York Times, that the President’s son, Donald Trump Jr. agreed to meet with a Russian lawyer with ties to the Kremlin after a friend emailed him information that suggested that the Russian government had damaging information on Hillary Clinton.
After months of accepting President Trump’s contention that he and his campaign surrogates did not collude with the Russians to sabotage the Clinton campaign, it has become hard for conservatives across the country to acquiesce to this dubious narrative any longer.
This is especially the case after the news has come out that Donald Trump Jr. attempted to meet with a lawyer with connections to Putin, to “dig up dirt” on Hillary Clinton.
This whole Russian collusion ordeal has become almost too surreal to comprehend when one takes into account that Donald Trump’s eldest son has had absolutely no prior diplomatic or political experience before his father’s unlikely run for the White House.
Heck, it wasn’t too long ago when all that Trump Jr. was good at was getting hammered out his mind at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, a prestigious Ivy League institution Donnie undoubtedly got into as a legacy and scion of one of the most famous media personalities in America.
While we are at it, isn’t it the height of incredulity and obviously misguided nepotism that Trump’s family members, without any semblance of experience, are functioning as his senior advisors?
If Donald Trump is ultimately impeached for colluding with the Russians, it won’t be because there was any nefarious intent. Rather, it was because they were a bunch of bumbling idiots who treated the highest office in the country as though it were another episode of the Celebrity Apprentice.
