The Good, The Great, and the WOW: The Latest GOP Debate

From our friends at Hypeline.org

Valerie Aldana

The Republican candidates were reunited in Milwaukee Theater on November 10th, 2015.  The debate, held by Fox Business Network and the Wall Street Journal, once again enlightened the public to the power and potential of the GOP!

From “HUUUUUGE” arguments to stellar responses; here are some epic quotes from the night’s festivities!

Marco Rubio

“If you raise the minimum wage, you’re going to make people more expensive than a machine. And that means all this automation that’s replacing jobs and people right now is only going to be accelerated.”

“This election is actually a generational choice — a choice about what kind of nation we will be in the 21st century.”Excuse me, but YAAAAAAAAAS Rubio, YAAAS!Donald Trump

“We have to make our military bigger, better, faster than ever before so that nobody messes with us.”

Trump also reconfirmed his stance with increasing the minimum wage to $15/hour : “…we are a country that is being beaten on every front, economically, militarily. There is nothing that we do now to win. Our taxes are too high.”

Trump held his opinions and received some positive output from them.

If you were wondering: Yes, I had to include Trump’s outstanding “Hotline Bling” performance. (I mean, look at those moooooooooves!)

Rand Paul

“I’m also in favor of a plan called the penny plan where we’d just cut 1 percent across the board, and the budget actually balances in less than five years. So I think that what’s extraordinary about my tax plan is it is in the context of balancing the budget.”

Rand Paul discussed his budget plan and also attacked his rival Sen. Marco Rubio on his current stance on federal spending:

“How is it Conservative to add a trillion dollars in military expenditures? You cannot be a Conservative if you’re going to keep promoting new programs that you’re not going to pay for.”

Ted Cruz

“You think defending this nation is expensive? Try not defending it. That’s a lot more expensive.”

“I believe that 2016 will be an election like 1980, that we will win by following Reagan’s admonition to paint in bold colors, not pale pastels.”

Can’t go wrong with Reagan!

Carly Fiorina

“But the truth is, this government has been growing bigger and bigger, more corrupt, less effective, crushing the engine of economic growth for a very long time. This isn’t just about replacing a Democrat with a Republican now. It’s about actually challenging the status quo of big government.”

“The point is Obamacare is crushing small businesses; it is not helping the families it was intended to help.”

Let me get a: BIG GOVERNMENT SUCKS!

Looks like Carly has been admiring all the TPUSA swag and posters!

Jeb Bush

“We have to win the presidency, and the way you win the presidency is have practical plans, lay them out there.”

“We could get to 4 percent growth. The new normal of 2 percent puts huge demands on government. The reason why we have structural deficits is that more and more people are relying on government and the growth that we don’t have makes the deficit grow.”

On Obama’s foreign policy: “And sadly, this president does not believe in American leadership.”

Ben Carson

“As far as the minimum wage is concerned, people need to be educated on the minimum wage. Every time we raise the minimum wage, the number of jobless people increases. It’s particularly a problem in the black community.”

“We should vet all candidates. I have no problem with being vetted. What I do have a problem with is it being lied about, and then putting it out there as truth. And I don’t even mind that so much, if they do it … with everybody.”

“There is something special about this nation, and we must embrace it and be proud of it — and never give it away for the sake of political correctness.”

Needless to say that Carson’s ‘Merican pride was off the chain that night.

John Kasich

“Philosophy doesn’t work when you run something. And I gotta tell ya, on-the-job training for president of the United States doesn’t work. … We need an executive who’s been tried, has been tested, and judge the decisions that that executive makes.”

“We make promises we can’t keep under the bright light of the fall, we will have trouble. We must make sure that economic programs and our military programs are solid. I served in Washington as the chairman of the Budget Committee, and we got the budget balanced.”

If I had a penny for every time Kasich said “Ohio”
